Cairo is hot throughout the year, and no matter what time you go, the chances are that the temperature will edge up into the 30s. The most pleasant time to go to Cairo is between September and April, when it is not so insufferably hot in the city, although during March and April, the Khamseen wind blows in from the Sahara, bringing plenty of sand with it.
Its generally a good idea not to bother visiting Cairo during Ramadan, for although the prices of hotels do go down, many attractions open shorter hours, and restaurants only open after the sun sets.
