The majority of casinos in Reno are not in the same league as those in Las Vegas, and inside them, the focus is entirely on gambling rather than entertainment - although a few theme casinos are starting to open, and the city offers myriad opportunities to either win big on the cards, or lose everything on the roulette wheel. Outside the casinos, there is excellent shopping on offer, as well as a number of museums that elevate the city culturally to a status well above Vegas. The National Automotive Museum in Reno is worth looking around, and contains a number of historic cars driven by various celebrities.
