Teotihuacan is a good day trip from the capital, and is the site of some of the best Aztec ruins in the country, including the Quetzacoatl Temple, and the Pyramid of the Sun. The ruins are extensive, and to really see them all, it's a good idea to take one of the many guided tours on offer. A museum is staffed with helpful English speaking attendants, who will be more than happy to explain the significance of this place, should you need it.
