Mexicans are fanatical about football and bull fighting, and the vast 100,000 capacity Azteca stadium, home to the America team, dominates the city while bullfights are held in the Monumento Plaza Mexico, the 48,000 seater bullring, which is amongst the largest in the world. Corridas take place on Sunday afternoon from mid-October through to mid-April.
