Munich's seven million visitors a year are certain to have something to do while in the city, as the city always has something going on throughout the year.
During spring, there are small beer festivals, and a large carnival marking the start of Lent, while as the city moves into summer, the events take on a more cultural feel, with concerts taking place in the park. Autumn of course has the mighty Oktoberfest, but there are also street markets and concerts to browse and listen to respectively.
Winter finds the centre of the city taken over by the Christmas markets, and the festive atmosphere makes it a great time to visit.
