Lufthansa Offers Sporting Cuisine

With a Summer of sport upon us Lufthansa are bringing the spirit of some major sporting events to the food served on board their flights.

Wimbledon tennis tournament starts today, 25 June, and this will see Business Class passengers on Lufthansa flights to London from Germany enjoying fresh strawberries and cream, as well as a delightful glass of Lanson Champagne.

Sailing fans will know that the Americas Cup is underway, with the final leg of the epic test of skill and endurance about to begin. To celebrate this passengers on Lufthansa flights to a number of European destinations will receive a fantastic, themed, dessert. Made in the shape of a yacht, with shortcrust pastry, fresh fruit, custard and sails made of the finest chocolate it will be a shame to tuck into it.

The sporting theme Lufthansa has introduced carries on from other changes the airline has been introducing, bringing culinary variation to many different routes and seeing passenger satisfaction increase as a result.
