Adrenaline junkies should head for the 328m tall Skytower, which dominates Auckland's skyline, where for payment of NZ$195, they will attach you to a wire and throw you off the side for a terrifying freefall descent to the bottom. Should you need a second go, they will ask for a further NZ$75, and quite probably ask you to visit a psychiatrist.
The Skytower is part of a Skycity complex where there is also a casino and several bars to fuel you up for the jump off the top. It is probably the most breathtaking experience in the world, and one that should not be missed.
