The best time to visit the Malaysian islands is predictably the high season, from December through until April, when the weather is at its best, and the sea is calmer and good for diving and frolicking in. From May onwards, the climate is wetter and it rains in the mid afternoon most days, although you can still enjoy several hours of sunshine during the day, and there are many special offers available as an incentive to travel to Malaysia during this time. During the wet season, the diving is not so good, as the water is cloudier.
