One thing that no visitor to Istanbul should miss out on doing, is taking a visit to one of the many Turkish Bath-Houses in the city, and having a full set of treatments. The combination of cleaning, steaming, hosing, scraping and beating is invigorating, and just the thing to wake you up if you're beginning to flag.
There are many bath-houses throughout Istanbul, and they are very reasonably priced, as well as being quite beautiful buildings in their own right. Women and men are segregated in most of the spas, and all of the main ones in the city centre are welcoming to tourists.
