Sport is big news in Sweden, and the capital is no different to the country as a whole. Stokholm is home to the Swedish National Football Team who have been rather successful in recent years, without actually managing to win anything, and also the local team AIK Stockholm, who regularly trouble teams in the early rounds of the main UEFA competitions.
