Throughout the year, the capital of Sweden hosts many events, which attract people from all over Europe to the city. Of most interest to travellers are the chance to see the latest trends in the world of old furniture at the mid February International Antique Fair, which is followed in April by the Stockholm International Motor Show, where Volvo traditionally unveil their latest boxy estate car.
June and July are the warmest months of the year, and there is plenty to do and see during them, with the Hultsfred Rock Festival (June 13-15) the Stockholm Jazz Festival (July 16-21) and the Tall Ships race (July 24-26).
The city is host to the Stockholm International Film Festival in Mid November, during which the latest Swedish films are released to depressed silence.
