Stockholm Currency in Stockholm foreign exchange rates

What is the Currency in Stockholm? Find out what type of money or foreign currency you will need when travelling to Stockholm. Learn about foreign exchange rates, Banking, Currency & Taxes...

The currency used in Sweden is the Krona, although credit cards are accepted pretty much everywhere in the country, and you can easily exchange traveller's cheques in US Dollars, Euros, and Sterling at banks and hotels. ATMs will dispense cash if your card has either the Cirrus or Visa logo on it.

You do not need to tip in Sweden, as service charges are included in every restaurant by law, and also into the fare that you are quoted in a cab.

Despite the reputation Sweden has for being expensive, prices are in fact roughly comparable with the UK - a pint of lager costs around £2 and you can get a meal in a restaurant for about £20.
