The currency used in Greece is now the Euro, although credit cards are accepted in almost all major tourist areas, and ATMs in the country will dispense cash to people holding card with either Visa or Cirrus logos on them.
Traveller's Cheques in US Dollars, Euros, and Sterling are accepted at change bureaus in hotels and banks. High street Change Bureaus tend to offer a better rate than those in banks, although this is not always the case. By law, all restaurants and bars include service in the prices that they charge, although for good service, it is still customary to leave a small tip. It is also common practice to tip cab drivers and hotel porters a small amount.
