Langkawi is not really the kind of destination with a massive selection of nightclubs and bars to stagger between, and most public bars will close at around 10pm, although within the resorts and hotels themselves there are generally late opening bars where you can relax into the early hours over a few cocktails and beers. Drinking is not expensive in the bars around the towns, although in the hotels you will pay about twice as much as in the town pubs.
