Flights To Israel Planned By BMI

Spring 2008 should see the latest new service provided by fast –developing carrier BMI, namely daily non-stop flights to Tel Aviv Israel from London Heathrow.

The British and Israeli governments have been instrumental in creating this new opportunity since they are the ones who have agreed to allow a second Israeli and UK operator to provide flights between Heathrow and Ben-Gurion airports. This development has led to the immediate application by BMI to provide that second UK based option.

At the moment there are no firm details available regarding the precise commencement date for the service, nor the type of aircraft to be used, but this information is sure to follow as soon as the routing is approved. Israel is seeing greatly improved traveller figures again following some difficulties in the area, with visitor numbers up by around 2 percent so far this year.
