BMI have announced a new destination on their schedule, introducing flights to Cairo as of late October this year. The service will operate out of London Heathrow, where they are the second largest carrier and use the ever popular Airbus A320.
The Cairo service will offer both Economy and Business class options and it is expected that there will be a good mix of travellers, since there is plenty of economic activity between Egypt and the UK. The country is a popular tourist destination too and it is expected that the new service from Heathrow will fuel that interest further, the ease of having the main London airport as a departure point creating additional demand.
As part of their new service BMI have also entered into a code-sharing agreement with EgyptAir. This will mean more options for travellers between the two countries and should also ensure capacity is there to meet the anticipated demand.
