Following the recent code share agreement with Gulf Air, Malaysian Airlines have begun to offer seats on flights with the Middle Eastern carrier between Kuala Lumpur, Muscat, and Bahrain. The flights, which will be operated by Gulf Air will allow travellers a more convenient and straightforward experience when choosing onward destinations within Malaysia.
Flights from Bahrain to Kuala Lumpur will depart on Monday, Friday and Sunday and fly via Muscat. The return flight will be Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, again via Muscat, The link up between the two airlines was only confirmed a few weeks ago during meetings between representatives from the airline and the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board.
The two groups are also looking at ways to promote the 50th anniversary of Malaysia’s nationhood in 2007.
Gulf Air already has code-sharing agreements in place with a number of carriers across the world including American Airlines, Thai Airways, BMI, Garuda Indonesia, KLM, and Qantas Airways, and is known to be seeking closer ties with many carriers as it expands its global reach.
