Cathay Pacific has just placed orders for seventeen new aircraft, ten cargo planes and seven long haul passenger aeroplanes, with a value of over five billion US dollars.
The carrier has placed the order with Boeing, who will be providing ten 747 – 8F cargo planes and seven of the highly popular 777-300ER designed especially for long haul flights. With such an investment the airline are making a clear statement about their confidence in the future as well as their intention to further develop their business out of Hong Kong and across the globe.
Flights to Hong Kong are increasingly popular from the UK, and with these new developments by Cathay they are sure to remain that way. The airline already provides an excellent service and by extending the number of options available to travellers they are sure to utilise their new aircraft well, having them flying to many new destinations to satisfy customer demand.
