Lufthansa Supports German Football Federation

The agreement for Lufthansa to stay on for a further three years as the official partner of the German Football Federation (DFB) was signed today.

As part of this ongoing agreement Lufthansa will be the airline that transports the German national team, the coaches, and all the Federation officials to matches both in Germany and internationally. This is an especially topical subject with the European Championships coming up in 2008, hosted in Austria and Switzerland.

The German national side will be based in Lugano, Switzerland for the Euro Championships, and it is expected that there will be many flights to Switzerland coming out of Germany to coincide with what is expected to be a fantastic tournament.
