BMI, the operator known for its use of the regional UK airports, is rescheduling a number of internal UK services so they can link up with the flights to Norway that depart from Aberdeen.
The flights leaving from Aberdeen go to the Norwegian city of Kristiansand, a destination closely involved in both the shipping and oil industries and therefore a popular destination. However, in the past flights from a number of other UK airports arrived too late to link with the Kristiansand flight. From 30 July though this will be resolved, meaning travellers from Norwich, Manchester and Heathrow will all be able to connect with the rescheduled flight.
It is expected that this rescheduling will be a boon for business-people, freeing up some of their time which would previously have been spent waiting for the connection – often overnight.
