BA Strike Nears

As the aviation industry braces itself against the long term implications of the decision of BA cabin crew to go on strike over pay and conditions this week, other airlines are putting emergency measures into place to support passenger needs.
BMI has added around 3000 seats on domestic flights within the UK by utilising larger planes on many key routes such as flights to London and between Manchester and Scotland.
Other airlines are also adding flights to their schedules to take over slots freed up by British Airways.The decision by staff at BA to strike has provoked widespread criticism from passengers, who feel that they have been let down by both sides in the dispute.
