US Airways to base Flight Centre in Pittsburgh

US Airways has announced that its new 25 million dollar Flight control centre will be build in Pittsburgh and will offer more than 150 jobs in the city.

There was a great deal of competition between Pittsburgh, Charlotte and Phoenix for the prestigious base, but despite recent moves by the airline to reduce its operation presence in the city, and a lower offer of benefits from the city such as tax reductions and other incentives, US Airways still chose the city as the new home of its call centre.

US airways is one of the largest American airlines, and offers flights from the UK to many destinations including flights to Orlando, flights to New York, and flights to Los Angeles amongst others.
