Pakistan Link Resumed By Lufthansa

Due to commence in late October Lufthansa are reinstating their flights to Karachi, operating three times per week.

The German airline did offer this service in the past, but withdrew it for a while as they restructured their schedules. Travellers from the UK can take flights to Frankfurt initially, from where the Karachi service operates. From Frankfurt the flight is non-stop, meaning travellers from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Edinburgh can pick up a Lufthansa flight that will take them straight to Frankfurt and then directly to Karachi.

Travellers on the route will include many business people since both Frankfurt and Karachi are major commercial centres, though there will also be a good level of general traffic which justifies the need for three flights.
