Iguazu Falls are the spectacular centrepiece of the Parc Nacional Iguazu, near Puerto Iguazu. More than 5 tonnes of water per second crash over the 70 metre drop and drench the surrounding area. The falls were immortalised in the film The Mission. Above the falls, there are many water sports centres, where you can safely canoe. Treks are organized locally in the surrounding park, which is made up of almost perfect Subtropical Rainforest.
