Iceland may have a national football team, but there aren't enough cities in the country to support a real league, so football is pretty much of the menu in the country. If watching sport is your thing, then during the summer, there are plenty of strongman competitions, where frankly enormous men lift boulders, pull aeroplanes, and exert themselves for glory, while crowds of people watch them with a mixture of awe and prurient interest, waiting for a head to explode, or something.
There are a couple of golf courses just outside Reykjavik where you can play a round during the summer, although describing the rocky expanses as "greens" is a little wide of the mark.
