Notching up their one hundredth destination is Edinburgh Airport, a major achievement for a regional UK airport. The city that took them to this level is Dubrovnik, with the flights to Croatia operating weekly from early next year.
The operator of Edinburgh Airport, BAA Scotland, has seen the number of destinations they provide increase rapidly in the current year, with twenty-nine new locations added to the list across all the Scottish airports they operate. This has been in answer to passengers requests for more options from their local airports and BAA have certainly delivered.
The airport at Edinburgh will also see investment in the infrastructure, enabling it to manage the additional travellers it will deal with. This will include greater capacity for aircraft as well as improved terminal facilities for passengers.
