Announcing profits of over USD30 million for the first nine months of the year Czech Airlines have made major strides forward, contrasting sharply with a loss of over USD15 million the previous year.
The airline feels that effective sales and marketing activity has accounted for a lot of the improvement, allowing increased profitability across the board. Much focus went on the key routes for the airline, with flights to Prague being one of their most popular from the UK. Maximising profitability through improved ticket prices, more efficient aircraft and better use of ground staff has brought Czech Airlines great success and it is something they are certain to continue with.
The carrier is wary of the increasing fuel charges that can quickly eat into margins but are confident that, with the many changes they have already implemented, the future should still be a profitable one.
