Norway Currency in Norway foreign exchange rates

What is the Currency in Norway? Find out what type of money or foreign currency you will need when travelling to Norway. Learn about foreign exchange rates, Banking, Currency & Taxes...

The currency used in Norway is the Krone, although in most places you visit, credit cards are accepted, and you can withdraw money from ATMs and over the counter in banks using Visa and Mastercard.

A meal for two people in a local restaurant will cost upwards of £5 per person, although in more tourist oriented places, the sky is the limit, as Norway is still one of the most expensive places to visit in Europe.

Most restaurants and hotels will include a service charge in the bill, but to reward really good service, you may want to leave a little extra for waiting staff, and in taxis. !0% is about average for both.
