The Sun City resort is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and is within a three-hour drive of Johannesburg. The self-contained resort boasts some of the best golf courses in the whole country, and also a great water park. There are several hotels on site, including the opulent Palace Hotel.
Kruger National Park is the largest in the country, and home to vast numbers of animals. Well developed to attract tourists; the park has excellent lodges, and a holistic attitude towards conservation that has made it a model for preservation across the world. Lodges in the park are of a high standard, although budget accommodation for Kruger National Park can be found around the main gate. You can either fly from Jo'burg to Mpumulanga airport, or drive, which takes around 3 hours.
