LOCATION: The Hunter Valley Wine Country is the oldest wine growing region of Australia and is approximately 2 hours easy drive north of Sydney. The Hunter Resort is located in the heart of the Wine Country and is nestled amongst its own vineyards. The Hunter Resort is the largest winery in the valley and holds a New South Wales Tourism Award for Excellence.

HOTEL FACILITIES: These include The Hermitage restaurant where the menu is shaped each day by the availability of fresh local produce. Seafood from nearby Nelson Bay, free range poultry, prime quality beef and lamb and locally grown fruit and vegetables. Rustic dishes, roasts and grills, as well as more modern Australian dishes with Asian touches feature on the menu. The restaurant is open every day for dinner with all day dinning in the Fernery on the weekends. Other facilities include heated spa, swimming pool, children’s wading pool, tennis, table tennis, volley ball, games, softball, badminton, mountain bikes, 20 acre vineyard and children’s playground. Other recreational facilities include horse riding tours, picnic hampers, horse drawn carriages, aqua golf, art galleries, hot air ballooning, deer and wildlife park, 2 championship golf courses and many more.

GUEST ROOMS AND AMENITIES: All 30 rooms feature timber cathedral ceilings, full size bath and shower, individually air conditioned, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, toaster, clock radio, direct dial telephone and most rooms with a private balcony overlooking local countryside and the vineyards. CHILD POLICY: Children under the age of 12 years will be accommodated free of charge when sharing a room with parents and utilizing existing bedding (without extra bed).
