LOCATION: Dunk Island is off Mission Beach, North Queensland, midway between Townsville and Cairns, serviced by Cairns International or Townsville Airport.

HOTEL FACILITIES: The resort offers many facilities and activities which are included in the tariff, these include two fresh water swimming pools, four tennis courts, up to 6 hole golf course, 2 air conditioned squash courts, touch football, volleyball, table tennis, Basketball, netball, and jumbo tennis, sail boarding, catamaran sailing and snorkelling. There is a charge for sports that require fuel such as parasailing and tandem sky diving, the same applies for clay target shooting, horse riding and scuba diving. The resort provides a range of activities for children, babysitting can be arranged for a fee.

GUEST ROOMS AND AMENITIES: 148 guest rooms all with private bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, television, telephone, clock radio, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, mini bar, iron and ironing board, writing desk, umbrellas and laundry facilities. Some guest rooms with private balconies RATES INCLUDE: 3 nights accommodation, full buffet breakfast, table de hote or themed buffet dinner, chilled Australian sparkling wine on arrival, Spa of Peace and Plenty voucher to the value of GBP30.00 per person. Valid 01 Apr 05 onwards will receive all of the above however the Spa of Peace and Plenty voucher will be to the value of GBP40.00 per person. POOL CLOSURE: Please be advised that the Cascades Pool at the Dunk Island resort will close for retiling, from the 16th February for approx 2 1/2 weeks.We have been advised that there will be very limited or no noise impact.
